  Avid Express Studio HD

  We have had a nightmare since we bought this system in FEB 05. For example, 78 fatal errors in 11 days. Each caused us to entirely power down and re-start.
  This doesn’t count the numerous errors we get daily that require rebooting Avid.
  We are on our 3rd entire system since FEB and now are using our resellers demo which doesn’t act any better.
  Have had power in edit suite tested over a 24hr period- fine.
  Is anyone else having these kind of problems with AVID EXPRESS STUDIO?

  First of all, I am very sorry you guys are having the problems you are having. I have Studio Essentials with Xpro HD 5.1.6. My system is home built and is stable as a system could be.

  (2) Western digital 36gig Raptors in raid-0
  (1)Seagate SATA 160gig drive
  (1)320gig G-raid
  (1) 100gig Western digital system drive
  Panasonic AJ-D230HP deck
