  Can’t digitize to DVExpress Pro 4.3.0 with Panasonic HD1200A deck

  Hi All: Trying to digitize DVCPRO/50 footage from a Panasonic HD1200A deck via firewire to a Mac G5 w/Panther OS, using the native firewire cards. DV Express doesn’t see the deck at all- “No Deck”- and a check of the deck configuration menu doesn’t have this flavor of Panasonic deck listed.

  Is there a deck driver I can download? Tried searching the Avid site but turned up nothing. Or do I need to upgrade the software to v.4.6. All help appreciated as I’m dead in the water until I can get the Avid to see the deck. Check Decks and Autoconfigure don’t help either.

  DV50 is not supported yet for the Mac. You will need XPro HD for the PC.

  One more reason FCP is giving Avid a run for their money. Thanks for the info.
