I just purchased the Express Pro, and the Avid approved IEEE 1394 firewire card. I have a Panasonic 24P camera with the IEEE 1394 firewire port. The computer recognizes the camera, but Avid’s program does not. I tried adding the deck through the configuration, but still nothing. I can’t control the deck through the program at all. Any suggestions as how to fix this problem?

Can anyone help? I’m having deck configuration problems with my Panasonic 24P camera. My computer reads it, but Avid Express does not. I tried setting the deck to generic, and other things, but nothing works right now. Please help. I just got this software, and I haven’t even been able to use the software yet, b/c of the deck problems.

You need to configure a deck in the deck configuration.

Also do you have mojo? I have mojo and I had to power it down to digitize via ohci. XpressProHD didn’t recognize the deck although windows did, until I powered down mojo, then I could config as an ohci and digitize via A regular firewire card.

Normally I would connect the deck via 4pin to 4 pin firewire cable from Mojo firewire port to the deck, but I did not have that cable Handy.

    HTH,
