  Does Avid have an on air insertion feature in the line?

  I have a client with the need for this. Insertion of graphics only for on air application. Does Avid have a solution for this? has to capture and go out inserting on the fly just like on air hardware (swicher inserting from CG). Product would also have to edit I suppose as well.

  I don’t believe so. And Avid is an NLE, not a switcher. You can’t have video go in and out at the same time. You’d have to digitize the entire show, add the bug, then output. Not the best solution seeing that you’d be losing quality by capturing and output.
