  Audio Playback skipping in Avid Xpress Pro

  Running Avid Xpress Pro 4 on Mac G5 tower, with Avid DNA Mojo. Never had this problem before, but recently when playing back on projects in the timeline, audio and video playback will “hiccup”. As editing continues, the problem will become worse and worse, until playback at what should be normal speeds results in a wierd “slow-motion” effect. Anyone run into this problem before, or any ideas? I’ve tossed the preference files and media databases, but that hasn’t helped.
