Hi, I’m trying to capture movie files (.mov, .mp4, .wma) into the Avid Express off of a CD. I’ve tried importing and other tricks to load the file into the source monitor, but no luck. Any tips?

    Many thanks,

    Bd

Well, Avid doesn’t support .wma or .mpg on import. The quickest way is to use Sorenson (or whatever compression program you use) and convert the file to a .mov.

Quicktime movies are usually not a problem, unless your file has a CODEC not loaded into your machine. Can you play the quicktime on the same computer as your XPress?
