I have filmed and edited a small video, however i have come up with a few problems trying to make it look more professional. Once it has been edited i have gone over certain scenes and added changes through colour correction to make it better, but the weak point is still the moving camera and no tripod was used.

I have tried using region stablisation, however i saw no effect. i want to make it so the camera moves very little, also when i add the stable effect i find that it overwrites the colour correction effect that i have done. Can any one please help and it driving me nuts about what to do, i know it can be done…but how???

    thank you in advance

I am using AVID Xpress Pro v5.8

First, to ‘stack’ any effect in Avid, simply ‘alt’ drag (hold down the alt (PC) or option (mac) key, while dragging the effect where you want it. You can do this multiple times.

I’ve never been a fan of region stabilization. I’ve never had a shot it worked on, and it takes forever to reneder. That said, have you zoomed in slightly on your shot? You’ll need the zoom to make the stabilization to work. It’ll make the video quality drop some, and that’s one of the reasons I don’t like that effect, especially working in DV.
