  25p/25i project issue

  I’m new to Avid Xpress, and in the middle of editing a PAL project. The footage is interlaced, not progressive, but I accidentally set the project as 25p instead of 25i.

  My question is, is this a major problem? It plays back fine within Avid. If I continue to edit interlaced footage within a 25p project, will the quality of the final product suffer?

  If so, is there any way I can convert the project from 25p to 25i? I don’t want to start over, I’ve already done a lot of work.

  Any help here would be much appreciated.

  I believe (although I might be wrong – I don’t do any 24p projects) you can create a new project with the correct settings, then open the old project bins within the new project.
