  Exporting/Transferring a Project

  Hi I’m new here and new to editing with Avid so apologies in advance if this question is too simple for this forum.

  Is there some way i can save a project currently residing on a uni computer (Avid Composer) with the timeline intact onto a portable drive and repast it into my computer at home (Avid Express Pro (academic version)) in such a way that I can retain acess to all the tracks for final picture edit and sweetening/synching audio.

  Reversing the process to return the original uni computer on completion would be useful to allow an export to tape but not essential as we are allowed to screen and submit via DVD.

  As far as whether this question is too simple for this forum–that’s exactly what this forum is for! No question is too simple or too stupid–if it was, I sure wouldn’t know what I know today, because I’ve asked some really stupid/simple questions. 🙂
