  Audio Waveforms in Avid

  Is there any way to see the audio waveforms in the timeline? I isually use the waveforms top edit dialogue. Thanks for any help.

  But of course! Go to the hamburger menu in the lower left hand corner of the timeline. It’s really called the fast menu, but it looks like a hamburger, so… There you will find 3 selections related to audio on the timeline. Sample plot is what you want, but you’ll find it writes on and refreshes very slowly. To speed up the process, also select one or both of the other 2 audio selections audio clip gain and/or audio auto gain. Have fun!
