Whenever I send my timeline to Avid Sonic, all my moving shots flicker. The steady shots are great, but all my moving shots look flicker really bad. Any suggestions?

I don’t use Avid Sonic, and I’m not familiar with the workflow – HOWEVER…

Have you checked your interlace settings? In Sorenson, you need to encode your project WITHOUT auto-deinterlacing (in other words, Sorenson does a very poor job of removing fields from an NTSC interlaced materiel). Try these basic settings as well:
When you encode your QT reference, under options encode as native dimensions and color space of 601/709. (I’m working under the assumption you have the option to set your preferences – if not, tell us how your workflow works…)

    Also, check this out.

Scroll down a bit and find a plethora (yes, plethora) of information on DVD in the Avid…
