March 19, 2009 at 6:31 pmHey,
Thanks for the tip. I’m going to be there Sunday through Tuesday morning, so it looks like I’m going to miss those parties.

March 20, 2009 at 2:30 amwe are having a booze sponsored party for the forums (Cow, AVID-L, FCP-L) at the Hard Rock Hotel on Monday night at the Center Bar. We are waiting to firm up the sponsors before I do a formal announcement, but we’ve been doing it for the last 6 years at the center bar at the Hard Rock Hotel on Monday 4/20/09. It draws a very large post production crowd from these forums.
As soon as the sponsors firm up, I will make a formal announcement.

March 20, 2009 at 4:45 pmThanks Bob,
I might try an make it. There used to be some other group that would meet at the center bar at the hard rock… but that was years ago.

March 21, 2009 at 12:05 amhi moody,
this way my original group – AVID-L. I started this gathering because AVID would have private parties at the Hard Rock, and would not let everyone in, so I started the center bar gatherings for AVID-L just to piss off AVID. All the AVID people would wind up at our gathering at the center bar after the AVID party let out. I hate these restricted events. If you are an AVID user (or FCP user, or Premier user), you should be allowed to go – you DONT need to be an owner. That is why this event has become so popular (and free booze !).Bob Zelin
