  • AE CS6 crashes…..

Posted by Dave Hirschberg on November 1, 2012 at 12:30 pm

For some reason, out of the blue…. AE crashes when I try to add the InvigPro or when I try to open a project that has InvigPro. I was working on a project the other day and it was fine. Came in yesterday and AE crashes everytime. I removed the plugin and the project opens. I upgraded to InvigPro 6 and it still crashes. Can’t even add the plugin to a new project and solid. Any ideas?

MacPro Quad core, Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and CS6.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Did you completly removed any Invigorator files before upgrading to 6? This sounds like a corrupted preference.

There are Zaxwerks installed files in the After Effects plug-in folder and in your user documents folder.

    I hope this helps

    Hi Dave.

Right, it does sound like the Preferences or Presets might have gotten corrupted. Try downloading 3D Invigorator PRO version 6.1.0:

3D Invigorator PRO Mac Version Download Link:
    https://zaxwerks.com/downloads/Invig_AE_currentp_mac.zip

Then, go into the “Documents > Zaxwerks” folder and deleting the “3D Invigorator PRO AE 6” folder. Next, go into the “User > Library > Preferences” folder and deleting the “Zaxwerks 3D Invigorator PRO 6 Prefs” file. This should reset everything back to the factory defaults and you should have no issues with the plug-in. If you’re still having any problems, please let me know.

    Best,
    Edward

Thanks guys. Turns out it was an issue with the font cache. Go figure!

Wow, thanks for the update! I haven’t heard of anything like that before. I’ll be sure to make a note of it, thanks!
