I am using Illustrator CS2 ellipse tool to draw a circle, then draw a smaller circle within.
I want to create a “donut” like object with a circle with a hole cut out in the middle.
When I import into Zax 3DI I get either 2 circular outlines or a large circle that is completely solid.
Ive tried the pathfinder tools (divide, merge, etc) to no avail. What am I missing?
This was a test to create holes so when client dont have font for me to use, I can trace thier logos
(autotrace makes to much work) and know I can create holes in the letters where needed.

Got it! After methodical experimenting I fould if I create a shape with holes within,if I highlight both then use Pathfinder “Divide” I get exactly what I wanted.
