  animated lines on a spinning globe

  I want to trace my travels around the globe with an animated line traveling across the globe, from continent to continent.
  I have a jpeg map of the world that wraps nicely around the globe in Invigorator but I can’t figure out a way to animate the line going around the globe.
  Anyone have a good idea?

  Hi egeefay,

  Sure. Layer Mapping is the key to one way of doing it.

  Make a comp the same size as your globe map. Add the globe map to it. Now, add another image of the entire path with a transparent background on top of the globe map. Use an animated mask to reveal the path as you go along in time.

  Apply the Layer Map to the sphere and you should be good to go.
