  What is an AEP file?

  Here at Indiana University Media Production, we were approached today by our sports marketing people. They have an animation for a commerical that needs to be changed for an ad on the big screen during up coming football games. Problem is the in-house folks at the New Orleans Hornets made it. And now…. well you know, they are gone and can’t fix it.

  Can anyone help us? The project seems to be in an AEP file. We have all the graphical ingredients. Only one graphic needs to be changed in color. It is a moving face over a bkg animation of the football field.

  AEP is an After Effects Project. If you have After Effects, open it, then File–Open–navigate to where the AEP file is and select it. I hope, for your sake, whoever put the file together was good at organizing and naming clips and layers. If you don’t have After Effects, go to the After Effects forum here on the Cow and post that you need some help. Someone there should be able to help you.
