Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Easy ease

Hi, is it possible to turn easy ease off. I,e got a complicated keyframe sequence going here but easy ease is doing funny things to the motion path.

But I cant seem to deactivate it and when I delete a keframe and re-enter it’s settings the keframe reappears already easy eased.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks,

select the keyframe(s) and go to Animation> Keyframe Interpolation and change the Temporal and Spatial settings to linear.

I just want to point out that it’s unlikely they are easy ease frames – AE doesn’t make them out of the blue, even following other easy ease keyframes.

Easy ease is simply a shortcut to making a keyframe that is continuous Bezier, with 0 velocity going in and out, and with 33.33% influence over the animation curve.

What you are probably getting are continuous bezier keyframes, which look the same as the Easy Easy Keyframe. That’s because , as I said, Easy ease keyframes are really just continuous bezier keyframes, with very speciffic settings.
