Create ai / eps image sequence proxy

I’m working with flash animators who have been delivering swf files to me.
I often get “this swf file is damaged or unsupported” error. This is NOT when I’m importing, but randomly when working. It happens after a few minutes of working and it’s unpredictable.. I’ve trid different versions of flash to export with, etc. No luck.
I’m wondering if there’s a way to just create proxies of my swf as ai / eps image sequences so they re-link by themselves without having to do it from flash for each one. I have about 100 scenes so rendering out each one from flash would be painful. I also need them to remain vector.
I can keep working like this, having to restart every few minutes, but I figured I would throw this out there.
Using AE CS4 on mac. Flash CS4

I’ve also always used Flash for this; I don’t know any other way to get a vector sequence.
Do you get the errors on renders, or just while you’re working? If you can render cleanly from the SWF, you might create a rasterized proxy from the SWF so you can work, and then use a render settings template that ignores proxies for final output.
