I turned on my 250 yesterday, and the blue was clearly out of alignment. I had just used it the day before and the images were fine. I’m wondering if anyone has run into this before, and what might be wrong. I am assuming it’s the CCD, and that can’t be cheap to fix.

4 MONTHS! I was hoping to get it back in a couple of weeks! Where did you send it? What did they say was wrong? I was thinking I may just order the parts and do it myself if it is going to take that long.

    Thanks,

    Chuck

    But its very hidden fault.
Sometimes camera works good, some times gives blue. No apparent cause. When i give to service camera works veeeery good. But for sew days in service sometimes give blue screen, sometimes works great.

This is maybe matrix, maybe other part.
    wait, wait, wait….

    Hi

if broken is matrix, replace this module is about 2800$.
I call today to service and ask about my gear.

    Maybe find other fault.

I wait for good news. Bad news is 2800$.

i wait for other damage unit to replace ccd block or info from Your service
if You give some info, please send me e-mail about Your gear, i speak with my service man, or if i get some info, i write to You.

But i have some cameras and JVC is NOT primary camcorder for me.
I wait for low cost repair, easy and expensive option i know.

My service man still thinks about damage, and low cost fix it.

It more than likely IS the CCD. JVC would probably replace the board. The place I work at doesnt charge an estimate to look at it. But I cant “advertise” here lol.

We have three GY-HD250 in Studio configuration and we also have a blue registration problem. When we opened the camera the blue sensor fell off of the prism. The glue had let go. Of course this happened two months past our warranty, but we talking to JVC about our options.

Thanks for jumping into the conversation guys.

Dennis, any chance you can walk me through the process that you used to get to that point?

Chris, I may be sending my camera over to you if it is indeed the CCD, but I would hate to spend a couple hundred dollars to ship the camera across the country for a simple fix as Dennis has described.
