  acquiring through jvc deck results in grainy mpeg

  I am really fed up struck on this one , why i am getting these grains in compressed mpeg file which i am acquiring through a jvc deck. Why i am not able to acquire to avi through firewire.

  What software are you trying to capture it with? and what are your settings?
