Hi guys, I’ve been editing with my JVC GY HD110 via FCP 6.0. However recently I shot some footage 720p/24 (always) and either my camera firewire port isn’t working (works for DV) or sometehing is wrong with FCP. I have reinstalled FCP and tried most of the codecs. Apple sees the camera but I can’t edit. iMovie used to see the camera and now it doesn’t. Is it possible for the DV firewire to work and not the HDV? I think not. I saw a post about Quicktime 7.5 so I plan to dump it and see what happens.

Thank you to anyone in advance that answers this nightmare.

It’s the camera. It’s the firewire port whether it’s the DV or HDV side I don’t know. I got my fixed for about $200 at the Orange County JVC location.

    Good luck!
