  Shure MVL Lavalier

  Hello eveyone

  I am new to this forum, but have a question.
  I make youtube video’s about tech, unboxings and reviews. For my audio I use the Shure MVL Lavalier. This clip-on mic is connected to my iPhone 6, which uses the Motiv app; settings 24/28 khz and 100% added mic gain. Why 100%? Well because the audio is very low in volume.

  In the video linked above, you can hear me talk to the camera with these settings. As you can hear, the audio volume is pretty low.
  My question is, will this be better when I buy a TRS-cable to plug it into my Zoom H1?

  Or should I buy a shotgun for my type of video’s? I have a rode videomic go, but the audio quality is nood good enough, because of the hiss in my opinion.

  Hello Simon and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.

  Your clip does not play for some reason.

  The Shure page for the MVL talks a lot about android, but not so much about Apple. I’d call Shure support and ask for their advice.
