  Is this dialogue good enough quality for a promotional video for YouTube/DVD?

  Made a few tweaks to this narration, parts of it were recorded at different times so some of it sounds different to the rest. Would you say its acceptable for being on a promotional corporate video for use on YouTube and DVD/Blu-ray?

  If not, what could I do to make it better?

  Well, it depends on what your (or your customer’s) expectation of quality is. It could be considerably improved by:
  1) Recording in a larger or less reverberant room. The near reflections sound like it was recorded in the loo (is that what you call it in the UK?)
  2) Use a narrator with better breath control. He eats some of the words and it sounds like he is sitting down.

  Id say not.
  It sounds awful. Whistles on t’ s and s’s. Early reflections are awful. The room has no acoustic treatment at all.
  Id say go to a studio and record properly or get a Professional voice over to record it for you in their studio. It will cost a couple of hundred pounds. (nothing compared to an unhappy client )
  The voice record should be solid, with all correct inflections etc etc. Get a pro on it.

  In a word, no.

  The best thing to do to make it better would be to rerecord it properly or hire someone to do it properly.
