I’m looking to invest into a Sennheiser ew 112-p G3 wireless lav. There are 3 versions, with 3 different frequency ranges. How do I know which one to get? I live in Phoenix, AZ and that’s were I will mainly be using it. I looked up my zip code on Sennheiser’s frequency finder but I don’t understand the results it came up with.

    Here are the 3 choices.

    A/516-558 MHz
    B/626-668 MHz
    G/556-608 MHz

click on HELP under RESET it will explain chart.

    also keep in mind:

the FCC is currently considering auctioning off the 600MHz – 700MHz range which could happen as early as 2015.

470 – 600 MHz should, for now, be future proof.

any time you use a cordless kit you need to do a sound check to make sure something in the air is not causing problems. The unit has a built in scan function to help you find a free channel. Some times nothing works and you need xlr backups.
