Sound devices 702 ? 704 ? or 442 and Olympus LS 100 ?
I do youtube videos with a Canon 5D Mark II. I now have a Olympus LS100 and 2 Sennheiser G2 500 with 2 mke2, 2 sony ecm 55, 2 sony ecm 88, 1 senn mke40 all wired to 3.5mm jack. But in the recent months I came across the need to be able to record more than 2 people at once. So i can either buy a 442 and mix 2 channels into one so that i can keep my 2 track recorder or I can buy a 704 and record everything on it’s own track. plus this way i can have the 2 wireless on, a third wired lav that I dont mind it’s wired and a shotgun or another wired lav (i have a wider ecm-55 and a wired mke2 as well). I dont do outsides, mostly interiors and I dont fiddle the leveles much. I put everybody to speak plainly at first, set leveles and just leave it be like that. i do appear in the video so there is no one to ride levels. So, whick way should i go ? 704 or 442 and my curent recorder ? Thank you very much
