  Looking to get a new mic

  I’m looking for some recommendations on the best type of microphone to get.

  My current setup uses a Sony EX3, wireless lavs and a handheld dynamic cardioid. Sometimes the gear has to travel and I’ll still need to record a VO back in the office. I’m going to get a Tascam DR-100 Mk2 and I’m looking for some advise on what would be a good mic to record voice.

  Budget isn’t really an issue but I’m looking to stay in the $100-$400 range.

  You should at least try the built-in microphones on the DR-100 before assuming you need another mic.
