I recently bought the Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 wireless system with the ME2 omnidirectional mic. I am wondering now if I should have gotten the ME4 cardioid mic because I notice when I do interviews the omnidirectional mic picks up a little more BG sound than I like even when I adjust the sensitivity.

I thought about purchasing the ME4 for situations where there is a lot of BG noise, but I read in various forums that a lot of people don’t like this ME4 mic. Is there a suggestion for an alternative cardioid mic that can also plug into the Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 wireless system?

Hello Jack and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.

What you have heard is true. A cardioid lavs are a specialty item.

They require vigilance after being positioned. They are prone to popping.

If you have too much ambient noise, find a quieter location. The MKE-2, btw, sounds nicer than the ME-2.
