  Advice on wired lavalier microphone

  I have a Sennheiser G1 radio lavalier and a Sennheiser ME66 shotgun with noth K6 and k6p power modules. I wish to add a wired lavalier capacity.

  My first idea was to see if there was a wired ‘adapter’ for the G1 mic (which I think is the same connections as the G2/G3) but I dont seem to be able to find any, Do they exist and does anyone know where I may be able to get one from if they of?

  My second idea was to get the MKE102 front end for the K6 power module. Is there an alternative front end. I don’t seem to be able to find one in the UK and they are a little more than I wanted to spend. How good are they?

  The third option is to get something else. What Lavaliers do people recommend. I am looking for top end corporate entry level broadcast. Preferebly something that can be pickedvup for under $200 used on eBay.

  I am in the UK ($ almost=£ at the moment).

  I use the Countryman B3- it is in the price point you’re looking for. You should be able to order it from https://www.ambersound.co.uk (they don’t show it on the main products page, but you can email them for prices).   I use the MZA 900 Sam mentions with a ME2 and highly recommend it. You can get it from B&H:

  Hi seeing as youre in the UK, brands already mentioned like countryman, and outlets like bhphoto arent players.
  If you want a wired lav then something like a sony ecm 77 would fit the bill. Outlets like https://www.canford.co.uk audio would be best.
  You could get a sony radio mic on ebay for around the same cost as a new sony lav wired, but bewrae that ebay UK is flooded with cheap radio mics at the moment with the impending UHF CH 69 switch to mobile phones, therefore a lot of these devices will be useless after the London Olympics 2012. Just be careful if you want to use in the UK.

  Peter,

  It is the channel change that is making me get a wired. I Have a Sennheiser G1. I cant justify getting a new one and there is not much of a used market yet for the new channel.

  The RODE looks promising, RODE generally provide exceptional value. I am yet to work out it it could be used for broadcast but if I need that quality I should be able to afford to hire.
