I am looking for a microphone that I can use for interviews in a night club with bands playing all the time. Does anyone have any suggestions

Hello Craig and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.

What you are asking for is the equivalent of asking what camera can you use to shoot people’s faces with huge bright lights behind them. If you zoom in very close so you only see faces and no lights, it’ll work.

The audio equivalent, is to put the right mic as close to the person speaking a possible. That would be at their mouths. The mic of choice would be the EV RE50 omni. And you have to be very vigilant about keeping the mic right in their face.

The louder the noise (band) the closer you have to get. Are there exceptions? You’re talking about the laws of physics. I don’t make the rules. At some point, if the band is too loud, nothing will work.

    Regards,
