  Event Opal Monitors

  Hi,

  I have had the Event Opal powered monitors here for about 3 weeks for a review in Pro Audio Review. I am impressed. They are mid priced, $3k/pair.

  What’s most impressive is that even though the bass drivers are only 7.1″, the bottom is there. They don’t really need a sub-woofer. They are very transparent. Very transparent.

  The calibration software is still being completed and will ship soon. With it and the mic you’ll be able to set the Opals up without all the guesswork of tweeking the controls on the monitors to adjust them to your space.

  Monitors are a very personal thing, to me anyway, but keep an eye (ear?) out for them. They should be getting to the US about now.
