    Hi all,

I currently use the PSC M4 mkII mixer as the sound person for an NTSC Betacam package . We will be using this mixer with a PAL Betacam in an upcoming job . Is there anything I should prepare for ? Are the db level settings the same on the PAL camera ? Are the Line and Michrophone levels the same in the PAL world as in NTSC . Will the multi-pin connector work with the PAL camera .We won’t have the PAL Betacam until the day of the shoot , so I’d like to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

You will be OK just check the meters on the camera to make sure they are doing the same as the ones on your mixer.
(this sounds simplistic but because of different ballistic settings, peak vs VU, and set-ups I always periodically check the camera’s meters just to make sure)
