By mistake (all mine) I’ve purchased a DTS-Encoded CD of an Alan Parsons album- and I don’t have a hardware DTS player. This is like imported into Oz over the internet, so going back to the “store” is tricky.
Do I have any software options? Can something decode this CD so I can actually listen to it?

    Cheers, Graeme. (Feeling quite silly).

Many DVD players will also play audio CDs. If it decodes DTS on a DVD it might do it for a CD. Just a thought.

Thanks John, yes… a thought I’ll be investigating ASAP. Although it looks like most players won’t “mixdown” to the stereo analogue outputs, if the SPDF/Digital out isn’t connected.

Most of the time the decoding is done by the receiver that the player is hooked to.

If your DVD player or receiver or outboard decoder have six preouts, you can record each channel seperately.
