Hello, all I am still learning Vegas and have questions on project settings.
    I shoot HD 1920x1080P in 29.970 and 23.976 and 60 fps
    I shoot UHD 3840×2860 in 23.976 29.970 and 60 fps
What do I set my Field order?

Most likely–progressive. The best way is to use the free app MediaInfo. Here is an example of footage from a Panasonic FZ2500 showing the footage to be progressive.

You could also just drag the clip to the timeline and let Vegas set properties. You will see a dialog like this.

Of the two, use of MediaInfo is probably the most accurate.

[Kenneth Maultsby] “What do I set my Field order?”

Hi Kenneth! What Wayne said informs you about the characteristics of the Media you shot. Here your HD, is Progressive. It is shot one whole frame after another – Progressively. You asking the question about Field Order suggests to me you aren’t aware of the difference between Progressive and Interlace. Is UHD interlace? Your HD is solely Progressive. Interlace relates to the process of capturing/filming in Interlace, one Field after another Field, hence FIELD ORDER. Unless you are doing something requiring you to explore creating Interlace from Progressive – I doubt it ???? – then leave Field Order alone. You don’t need it.

All this comes down to establishing if your UHD is Interlace….. or not!
