  masc point positions

  hi community
  is it possiple to link single points of a mask or a shape to specific positions, for example to a motiontracking attachpoint.
  To make it clear an example:
  you have got a video with blue sky and a plane flying through it. now you have motiontracked the plane and may want to draw a line from the upper left corner of the video (0,0) to the tracked plane.
  The problem is that there is no field for typing in expressions for single points of a shape, you can only use the whole path, but if you write this expression into the shape path:
  thisComp.layer(“tracked plane”).motionTracker(“Tracker 1”)(“Track-Punkt 1”).attachPoint[0]
  you get an error message.
  any solution for that?

  Hi, if all you whant is a line, you could use the beam effect.

  1. Apply the tracking information to a null
  2. Link the End Point of the Beam effect to the null’s position

  Thats all, you can put the start point anywhere you need and the line will follow the plane.
