Issues with Video FX when rendering on VEGAS pro 14
Hi,
For about a month I’ve struggled with an issue where I cannot add any Video FX effects onto my clip. When I do, the project doesn’t render, the progress bar stays at 0% and the estimated rendering time keeps on rising, one time I wanted to see how long it would take and it was still going up after the 10-hour mark with zero progress. The length of the video doesn’t matter, it happens whether it’s a 10 second clip or a 15 minute clip.
The problem started all of a sudden after I hadn’t used SVP for about a week. Before that everything was working perfectly and the rendering times were reasonable (way under 1 hour). I am beyond clueless as to what has happened, and I’ve searched all over the web for a solution, but it seems that nobody else is having this issue.
If there’s any info you need on my PC or whatever, I would be more than happy to provide that information. I hope there’s a way to fix this issue, as I use Video FX all the time and not being able to use it has really taken the joy out of editing for me.

Hi Milla, and as this your first Post to this Forum, welcome.
Something has definitely gone astray. Have you unchecked GPU Acceleration? If you have then, firstly, confirm you’re running the last Build of VP14 and if not download it, but do not install it, wait. Secondly do a Factory Reset of VP14 and test again. If that is unsuccessful, and you still have the issue uninstall VP14 from your system, Reboot PC, and THEN install that last Build of VP14. Reboot your PC and start up VP14, enter your SERIAL Number and you should be good to go. If not then get back here. Starting from a cleaned house, we can look at other issues. Let’s hope you’re good to go though.

Hey!
Thank you for responding so quickly. I checked my GPU Acceleration settings, and for some reason it had been checked, although I have never even been to that part of Preferences! It fixed the issue immediately and I couldn’t be happier. I have no idea how it had turned on, but I am so glad this all was behind such an easy fix.
