Some older mp4 files don’t play back properly in Vegas Pro 13,14 and 16. The sound is normal, but the video is way too fast.
For example the file in MediaInfo: The Original file was an EX1 file, 720p/50, then rendered to an mp4 1920/50

File Property settings derived from the file; all windows/vegas updates installed.
It does play back properly in VLC or Resolve 15.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

    Hello Harijono

First thing I noticed was that you have a different frame rate for audio compared to your video frame rate. That is most likely why the video doesn’t match your audio.

I believe that the problem originates with the conversion that was made from the original file. Am I correct in suspecting that you used VLC to convert the file(s) ?

You may want to start over with the conversion, try using Handbrake this time or another conversion software.

    Let us know what happens.

    Cheers !
