[SOLVED.] Sony Vegas Pro 16 – Clip/Audio Issue
Hi Friends,
It seems like SVP 16 doesn’t like me very much, which is a shame since the program is fantastic when it’s working!
I haven’t had any major issues in the years that I’ve been using the program in different versions, but this is something I haven’t stumbled on before. I tried to find help online but the problem is quite strange and I can’t really put the issue into words for a search, if that makes sense?
Basically I’ve been working on a video and most of the time I convert and cut MKV files on Freemake to MP4, I’ve done this hundreds of times in the past and I have multiple of those converted clips on my track, but for some reason these specific two clips are giving me issues. When I import them to my project, it no longer shows the video part of it and the audio sounds like… well, in all honesty it sounds like a chipmunk being slaughtered. It’s an extremely high pitched, sped forward voice that’s going so fast you don’t even know what they’re saying.
I’ve tried rebooting SVP and my computer, tried watching the clips through my library and they’re absolutely fine, tried different MKV to MP4 clips on the same project and they work… but for some reason, these don’t.
The clip is 1080p with two channels.
Any ideas as to what’s happening?
UPDATE: I’ve also tried the same files on SVP pro 12 and it does the same thing.
UPDATE: 2: I tried converting the file from MKV to WMV and when I import it to the track, my SVP 16 stops working. I tried it on SVP 12 and it will allow it on the track but it flashes black and also an orange hue.
