    Hi everyone

I got some clips from gh5s.
I’ve tried to put them on the timeline and for those that were recorded as a slow motion everything works fine but for those in normal speed I see green screen and can hear the audio.

I can open them correctly only in VLC Media Player

    Those in slow motion

    Normal speed info

    My spec
    Vegas Pro 13
    Win 8.1

That’s the first time I have problems with those clips. Do I miss any new codec or something?

From the Vegas Creative Software forum:

Some formats it shoots will open correctly in VP13/14 but 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 AVC files weren’t supported until VP15.

But those are normal FHD clips not 4K :/

Hello, are the file extensions .mp4 or .mov. If .mov you may need to have QuickTime installed in order for Vegas to access the files.

Yes but you are still shooting 4:2:2 AVC so maybe that is enough to make it not work? Look at the specs that you gave us in your original post:

    Slow motion: (works)
    Format profile: High@L5

    Normal speed: (doesn’t work)
    Format profile: 4:2:2@L4.2

You are shooting 4:2:2@L4.2 profile so as Mike suggests this might be a case of using 2016 software with a 2018 camera. You can’t expect old software like Vegas Pro 13 to always work with new cameras.

This is easy enough to figure out… I would download the trial of Vegas Pro 15 and and if it works with these files then you’ve found your solution (upgrade your software).
