    Hi
Using vegas 14 on windows 10.
My recent small rendered project will not play on windows media or VLC . Windows media responds cannot play file as an mxf file is attached and not recognised. VLC just wont play.
The project works fine pre rendered running from the vegas project timeline.
Could some kind soul out there elucidate for me please?
fingers crossed – maybe it is the rendering software option I’m using as I previously used a custom version which simply refuses to render on windows 10 so unclear about all the listed rendering options does anyone have suggestions as to which option I might use for widescreen mp2?
    thank you.

What’s your final destination? YouTube? DVD? Media server?

MXF files are a bit out of the norm, so WMP doesn’t play them. HOWEVER I use MXF a LOT as my render to format and VLC plays them fine. Are you using the 64 bit version of VLC?
What specs did you render to?

Also, I have found Handbrake doesn’t see both channels of MXF files and only encodes in mono from an MXF.
