Poor audio quality post-render on SVP 15 build 321
I’m rendering using the MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4
Video comes out fine
Audio (voice over) has excessive hiss and what sounds like reverb. Original recording has none of this.
Changing the So4 parameter doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Not using the NVIDIA support.
Any ideas on what I could try to recover the audio quality?

Hi John – Render to something other than that MP4 and establish if the Template isn’t fault or something deeper. What your symptoms are flagging up is as if you’d recorded the System Stereo Audio. In the meantime could you post 5 secs of pre and post Audio?
Oh yes, another thought: How are you post-Render auditioning? From the VP Timeline? Or another Player? Are you Pre and Post auditioning like-for-like?

Hmm… I can’t repro, I just did a render of MXF footage to MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4:
Auditioning render clip back in VP I’m not getting those symptoms – no reverb/echo or hiss.

Thanks for the response! I ended up fixing this by opening a new instance of VP15, copying all the elements from the original and saving under a new name. After a reboot, I got audio that matched the original.
So kind of a false alarm – thanks for your help though!
