I’ve always outputted projects with peak audio at -10dB, that being a typical spec for local broadcast stations.

But, I’m wondering what’s more broadly typical for general corporate video projects that might just be for live presentations or a client’s website? Is peak audio all over the map, or is there a general industry-observed level I should know about?

    Hi Kelly

In my humble experience, I usually connect with the guy who will be in charge of the audio board. He’s the one you want to make happy.

As for everything else, I make my stuff average at -9. (on your vegas scale)

Mind you, I send it thru Levelator so I don’t get crazy peeks and valleys.
