Rendering 1920 x 1080 for TV
Hello, I did some footage 8hr long. I have divided it to 8 peaces, so every epace would be around 1hr.
Source file is AVCHD 1920×1080 , bitrate 28134 kbit, 50 fps. It was recoed with sony nx100, in PS mode.
I want to render it so it can be played on TV , pc, etc…
What I did so far, made good quality with SONY ACV/MVC render, settings are 25.999.360 bitrate, audio 128000 bitrate, 50 fps.
Now, on pc it runs great, on my lg smart tv, runs great, but on my samsung tv 32inc it says 264h codec not supported.I need this video to be compatible with all devices at highest quality. Main concept render is out of option, it takes 2+ hrs to render.
My render stations are i7 4790k + gtx 1070 (useless in vegas, i know) 32gb ram and i5 2500k oc 4.3ghz, r9 280x 8gb ram.

That’s to be expected. There is no standard for playing video directly on a TV so every TV is different and some don’t even support it.

This is impossible using files because there is no standard file format for TV. The only standard that exists for TV HD is Blu-ray. If you want to create something that plays on all TVs you need to make a Blu-ray disc and people have to have a Blu-ray player. Otherwise it will never work.

Yes, either the Sony or MainConcept AVC option is your best choice for playback on the widest collection of devices (just not TV’s). 😉

Okay I have found the problem, and the solution. The problem was in FPS. Cuz of some reason my TV will play this codec at 25FPS only, I do not know why but, I did some tests and with these settings it works, video plays on my Samsung TV and LG Smart TV.

That’s great. The standard frame rates are 25 PAL and 29.97 NTSC. I’m guessing one TV happen to support 50 fps but not the other so going back to a standard 25 fps frame rate was a good solution.

So you are saying that 25 fps is standard for all devices ?
The “civilian watchers” wont see any differences anyway ..
