  • How can I move my media from one project to the next

Posted by Todd Zimmermann on April 25, 2017 at 1:24 am

This is probably a dumb question. I am working on a project to add video to about 10 of my songs. With each song I want to have at my finger tips all the media I have gathered for my first song, start a new project for 2nd song and have all the media was available for my first song available for my second project without having to rebuild my media pool and set up the bins etc etc etc.

Does anyone know how to copy all media, setup, desktop from an existing project to a new project?

    Thanks,

Do a “save as” on your first project. Give it a new project name, like “Project 2”.

You now have all your media from Project one in what is now Project 2.

Do Ctrl A (select all) on the timeline and delete. Start a new timeline for Project 2.

Paul is correct. Do a “save as”. You might want to do “copy media” with the save as is you want to start a new directory on your HD. Then all your audio/video files will also be included. Rick
