    Hello everyone
I recorded something on Canon HF G25 and wanted to edit in vegas pro 13 but when I import the .MTS files (supposedly the only video files in the card that plays on my computer) it shows only as audio on the timeline, I read alot to fix this but the only fix was to convert… is there anyway to fix this without having to convert the video format?

    Please advise

If .MTS will not display/play audio on your Vegas timeline, then you have something wrong with your AC-3 codec registration on your computer. Vegas and DVD ARC both have the ability to playback AC-3.

Converting your MTS to Cineform, HDCAM, or XDCAM-EX will give you a smoother more stable editing experience.

    Hi Aaron
Thanks for your reply, the problem I have is with video not showing, I can only see the audio on the timeline but not video, I have been doing research and found out there are others who have had same problems. I am not sure if there is a fix for it in vegas but how can I convert the clips in to a workable format, is there a way to do it free?
