Simple Script Request

Is there a script that will size(not stretch) the selected event back by 2 seconds and also apply a 2-second fade? Thanks! 🙂

See what you get by Copy, from your Source, and Paste Event Attributes to your Target. If that works then Select all the Media and Paste Event Attributes to those.
Failing that, there will be a script seller coming along very soon.

Almost… ????
Vegasaur Quick proerties can do almost this in 2 steps.
First extend the events by 2 seconds, then apply. Then apply the fade-in.
Look at pictures attached.
What you need to do is to drag these events 2 seconds earlier after that, because Vegasaur keeps them in place.
If your events are just still pictures (jpg, png, etc), then you don’t have to mess with “Take Offset”.

László, I would use Extend to Cursor option:
Just place the timeline cursor before event, hold down Ctrl key and click the event to select it (this trick will select the event but do not move the cursor).
Of course, this is not the best way. Christie should find a specialized script that perform this specific task.

This trick works if there’s only one event.
But for such trimming and adding fade in for only one event I would not look for a script, I think Christie would not too.What I described should work with any number of events selected (assuming the don’t overlap after extending).
When there’s something tedious and repeptitive, I always look for a way if it is doable with Vegasaur. Mostly it is ????

Are you the author of Vegasaur?
Yes, it would be nice to have the ability to add fade in/out so that it extends the event.
So fade in before the current start of event, fade out after the current end of the event.
I remember I had some other ideas before, but forgot them.

I am trying not to overload Vegasaur with too specific features.
Balance between universal functions and intuitive UI, you know..
I will add the capability to extend multiple events…
