  • How to make DEFAULT multi-cam edit Cross-Fade instead of Cut?

Is there a way to make the default “change-camera” action in Vegas 14 a Cross-Fade instead of Cut?

I understand I can press the Ctrl key down when clicking a camera (or typing the # when in multi-cam mode), but since ALL of my transitions for certain types of edits will be cross-fades, this is a major PIA.

ALSO (Enhancement Request) — it would be an AMAZINGLY AWESOME enhancement to be able to setup alternate cross-fade lengths set in options, which could be activated with modifiers.
    e.g.
    Preferences Multi-cam Section options:
Default switch duration (0 = cut)
    Medium switch duration: [ ]
    Long switch duration: [ ]

Then, add switch modifiers so the editor can choose a default switch, medium, or long.

e.g. pressing 2 switches to camera 2 using the default duration
pressing switches to camera 2 using the Medium duration
pressing switches to camera 2 using the Long duration
