I’m new to Sony Vegas from the audio world. I have a specific question about saving a project. In Pro Tools, I can do a “Save Session As” and what happens is Pro Tools creates a duplicate session in a new location and copies all the media into that new location. I now have a back up or identical copy and if media was spread across a few drives, the new session has a copy of everything in a new location under one folder. Does Vegas 12 have any function like that ?

    Thanks in advance
    Jeff

In the ‘Save as’ window is a selection box in the bottom left corner for copying media with the project. Does this do what you are after?
I have never used it but I guess it should.
    Cheers

I use it and it does. This is great for archiving and will copy all of your media into one location.
