  Deleting a middle segment leaves a ghost on the following clip transition

  Here is my scenario – I have a almost finished video and I decide to clean out some excess video.

  Note: I have all my clips overlap each other by 1 second b/c I like those automatic offset fades from clip to clip.

  Next, I Slice one clip in the middle and delete the portion on the right to get rid of excess video. Now the adjacent clip that was just on the right of the excess video has a strange ‘ghost’ affect from the previous clip I just deleted. That 1 second of overlap wasn’t deleted. It deleted everything up to that overlap and then stopped. It’s like that overlapping area is locked for both clips. Not good.

  And when I look at it, has two blue crossfade lines that intersect. My theory was to grab the line starting at the top right corner and just delete it, but I can’t lock onto anything like normal. So then I try the top left side, but now if I move it it just makes that entire part of the clip black. I struggle to get rid of that ghost image from the clip I just deleted. I finally give up and decide that the clip was fine the way it was and I undo all my edits. 🙁

  Is there a better way?
