Modify before created and stretching video in making movie
Happy Thanksgiving.
In properties I see that a picture in the general specs section says the picture was modified before creation date. Not important I suppose but I was just curious how Vegas manages the impossible.More important though and I hope someone can tell me if Vegas handles certain types of still pictures differently when the box in Making a Movie is checked to “Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox)” and you dont check it. I am making a standard MPEG2 dvd It’s hard to compare that and not checking the box . I have all kinds of still pictures from a scanner. Some are scanned to fit a large TV others were scanned even before digital TV. Some pictures looked like they were narrower than when done with the box not scanned.

No, this will not do what you want. This feature is working on the entire video as a whole. It has no idea about the pictures that are in the frame. If, for example, your project properties are HD 1920 x 1080 and you render to DVD Widescreen which is 873 x 480 you’ll notice that 1920 x 1080 will scale down to 853 x 480 and there will be tiny black bars on each side of the video 10 pixels on each side. If you tell Vegas to stretch to fill frame it will stretch the 853×480 video to 873×480 to fill the frame. This will slightly stretch the image horizontally but in no way will it stretch individual picture to suddenly fill a frame that they did not fill before.
