I can’t import .avi in Sony Vegas Pro 10 32bit
I recently had to change computers and i had to reinstall Sony Vegas
I had the exact same version of sony vegas on my previous computer & everything worked fine.But on this computer i cannot import avi files.
Everytime i try it says “Warning: an error occured while opening one or more files. An error occured while opening a codec.”I already tried the Gspot thingy and it said that i’m not missing any codecs
Can someone PLEASE help me

What specifically did GSpot say about the AVI file (i.e. what type of codec was used on it)?

according to my dad (he’s the one who ran it) it said that there were no codecs missing

What we want is exactly what GSpot said (do a copy/paste of its findings or post a screenshot).

Just because your computer says that the codec is installed doesn’t mean that Vegas can understand it as that’s not one that Vegas natively supports.
When in doubt, always go to the manufacturer or developer’s site and download and install only the codec you need.
I can’t stress that strongly enough.
People have installed codec packs (K-Lite is really bad) and it’s messed their system up so badly that they have to re-format the hard drive.
If you really have to use this codec, then go to https://www.xvid.org/ and get the real thing. -

Follow my advice in the previous post about going to the Xvid site.
Be advised that Vegas doesn’t like Xvid very much and this could be the reason. -
The website only seems to have xvid windows codex for 64 and 86 but I have 32. Erm any other options?
